Paul Requadt
Paul Requadt (born January 23, 1902 in Twistringen , † July 17, 1983 in Mainz ) was a German specialist in German.
Life
From 1920 to 1926 he studied at Göttingen , Heidelberg , Munich and Cologne first law and then switching to German , history, philosophy and sociology . After receiving his doctorate in 1926 with Ernst August Bertram at the University of Cologne and habilitation in 1944 with Willi Flemming at the University of Rostock , he was a private lecturer at the University of Mainz from 1947 to 1950 , where he taught as a professor of German philology from 1950 to 1970 .
