Paul Schib (born March 15, 1901 in Möhlin ; † May 6, 1990 in Rheinfelden , entitled to live in Möhlin) was a Swiss politician ( KVP ).

biography

Paul Schib, son of the farmer Fridolin Schib and Schneider, born Ida, younger brother of the historian and FDP politician Karl Schib , ran a farm. In 1928 he married Maria Magdalena, the daughter of the farmer Alfred Mahrer. Paul Schib died in Rheinfelden in 1990 at the age of 89.

Paul Schib, who joined the Swiss Conservative People's Party (KVP), was a member of the Aargau Grand Council from 1933 to 1965 , of which he was President in 1945/46. At the same time he served from 1938 to 1969 as a vice-officer in Möhlin. In 1959 the people elected him to the National Council , in which he sat until 1971. Paul Schib's political commitment was particularly focused on the peasant class and the interests of his region.
