Paul Fuapapa Soliai (* 30th December 1983 in Santa Ana , California ) is a former American American football poker players. He played with the Miami Dolphins , the Atlanta Falcons and the Carolina Panthers for a total of ten seasons in the National Football League (NFL) on the position of defensive tackles .

Early years

Soliai went to Pago Pago ( American Samoa ) to the high school. He later attended Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville , Kansas for two years before moving to the University of Utah in 2004 .

NFL

Miami Dolphins

Soliai was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL Draft in 108th place by the Miami Dolphins . In his first year as a professional, Soliai was only used sporadically. Over the years, however, he became a regular player. After the 2011 season he was rewarded with a Pro Bowl appointment .

Atlanta Falcons

2014 Soliai with the Atlanta Falcons

After his contract with the Dolphins expired, Soliai signed a five-year contract with the Atlanta Falcons on March 11, 2014 . On December 29, 2015, he was put on the Injured Reserve List , which ended the season for him. He was released on March 9, 2016.

Carolina Panthers

On March 14, 2016, Soliai signed a contract with the Carolina Panthers . He was released on February 21, 2017. On April 19, 2018, he signed a one-day contract with the Miami Dolphins to step down from his professional career as Dolphin.
