Paul Vogel (teacher)

Arndt Paul Vogel (born November 9, 1877 in Leipzig , † December 4, 1960 in Berlin ) was a German teacher and teacher trainer.

Vogel attended the teacher training college in Oschatz and was an assistant teacher at the community schools in Roßwein from 1898 to 1900 . He then studied philosophy, education, German and religion for eight semesters at the University of Leipzig . On October 26, 1904, he acquired the candidacy for education. In 1906 he received his doctorate from the philosopher Johannes Volkelt on Johann Gottlieb Fichte and Pestalozzi . From 1905 to 1924 he was a permanent seminar teacher in Bautzen . From 1924 to 1937 he taught as a lecturer at the Pedagogical Institute in Leipzig in the training of Saxon elementary school teachers . In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . After the Second World War he lived in West Berlin. His writings concern historical pedagogy and the methodology of German teaching .
