Paul Wehrle (musician)
Paul Wehrle (born August 14, 1923 in Karlsruhe ; † February 11, 2013 there ) was a German music teacher and choir director .
Live and act
Wehrle studied at the Karlsruhe University of Music . As a grammar school professor, he taught at the Helmholtz grammar school in Karlsruhe , where he initiated the first music train at a grammar school in Baden-Württemberg . He was also active in many international organizations: he helped set up the “ Europa Cantat ” music festival , where he was the first general secretary from 1963 to 1976, was President of the State Music Council and joined the German Music Council as a member of the Presidium .
