Paulina Körner (born December 12, 1996 in Herten ) is a German basketball player .

Career

As the daughter of the two basketball players Christina Szafarczyk and Christoph Körner , Paulina Körner had a connection to basketball at an early age. She went through the junior teams at TG Neuss and the RheinStars Cologne and was part of the German junior national teams . For one year she attended Pomfret High School in Connecticut. In 2015 she fought together with the TG Neuss Fanion team for promotion to the 1st Bundesliga . In the summer she moved back to the USA and attended Columbia University for two years and played for the local basketball team. During her time in the USA, she was called up for the first time for the German national team on August 7, 2016 . She then returned to Europe, Switzerland, where she enrolled at ETH Zurich and has since played for the National League A team of BC Winterthur .
