Pauline Jacquin

Pauline Jacquin (born August 7, 1983 in Sallanches ) is a former French biathlete .

Pauline Jacquin lives in Méaudre and is trained in Megève by Bruno Clement . The ski instructor has been practicing biathlon since 1999, and one year later she was promoted to the French national team. In Ridnaun she made her debut at the Junior World Championships in 2002. In the individual she was 25. Then she made her debut in the European Cup in Windischgarsten as fifth in the sprint. At the 2003 Junior European Championships in Forni Avoltri , Jacquin won the silver medal in the individual and bronze in the sprint behind Magda Rezlerová . In the 2003/04 season Jacquin started up to the Junior World Championships in Haute-Maurienne in the European Cup. There she won bronze medals in the sprint and with the relay. Shortly thereafter, she made her debut at the last station of the season in the Biathlon World Cup at Holmenkollen in Oslo . In the sprint she was 58 here.

From the middle of the 2004/05 season Jacquin was dropped off more often in the World Cup, but also commuted to the European Cup again and again. In Antholz she achieved her best result in an individual race as 20th in the pursuit. At the season highlight at the Biathlon World Championships in 2005 , she started in singles and was 71. In the 2005/05 season she could not qualify for the Olympic Games in Turin and instead started at the European Championships in Langdorf . In the pursuit, she reached sixth place, with the season a fifth. Because she was not appointed to the relay at the Biathlon World Championships in 2007 despite good performances, she ended her career after the season.
