Paulinus Yan Olla

Paulinus Yan Olla (born June 22, 1963 in Seom-Eban , East Timor ) is an Indonesian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Tanjung Selor .

Life

Paulinus Yan Olla attended the boys' seminary in Laian and then the seminary in Yogyakarta . He joined the Congregation of the Missionaries of the Holy Family in, put on 22 July 1991, the perpetual profession from and received on 28 August 1992, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In addition to pastoral care, he was coordinator of the family commission of the Archdiocese of Samarinda from 1993 to 2005 and rector of the boys' college there from 1995 to 1997. From 1997 to 2000 he was pastor in the Banjarmasin diocese and responsible for the postulants of his order. Until 2004 he then studied spiritual theology at the Pontifical Faculty Teresianum and obtained his licentiate . From 2001 he worked in the general government of his order in Rome, from 2007 to 2013 as general secretary. Since 2013 he has been head of the religious studies and since 2014 also lecturer for spirituality at the Philosophical-Theological University Institute in Malang .

On February 22, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Tanjung Selor . The Archbishop of Samarinda , Justinus Harjosusanto MSF , donated him episcopal ordination on May 5th of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Palangkaraya , Aloysius Maryadi Sutrisnaatmaka MSF, and the Bishop of Banjarmasin , Petrus Boddeng Timang .
