Paulus Goudeler (also Pauel Goideler, Goydeler ) was an incumbent Dresden councilor and mayor in the 15th century .

Life

According to a document dated August 14, Goudeler was a member of the Dresden Council from 1403. In 1412 he is mentioned in the files as the bridge master of the stone Elbe bridge . Two years later he was elected mayor for the first time. He also held this office in 1418, 1420, 1422 and 1425.

In 1424 he was responsible for collecting the inheritance and capital interest due to the city as well as other taxes. These had to be paid for by the owners of the houses and goods, but also by junk shop owners, the meat banks , public bathing rooms and market people. Since these taxes consisted to a large extent of grain, he was also responsible for the administration of the city's grain stocks as well as their storage and utilization. In addition, the landlord was in charge of the armor chamber , in which the weapons and armor of deceased citizens were kept.

In 1432 Paulus Goudeler was again mayor. He was last named as a council member in 1434.
