Pavel Prokopec (born January 10, 1980 in Gottwaldov ) is a former Czech handball player .

Career

Pavel Prokopec played in the Czech Republic for HC Zlín and Baník Karviná, with whom he was twice champion and cup winner and played in the EHF Champions League . In January 2004 he moved to the German handball league for Stralsund HV . In the 2004/05 season, the 2-meter-tall, 100-kilogram backcourt player played for the second division HSG Niestetal-Staufenberg and then for the Füchsen Berlin . In January 2008 Prokopec switched to ThSV Eisenach . After playing for TUSEM Essen from 2010 to 2012 , he played with SC DHfK Leipzig from the 2012/13 season , where he signed a two-year contract. For the 2014/15 season he moved to TV Großwallstadt , after its bankruptcy in summer 2015 to VfL Eintracht Hagen . After the 2016/17 season he ended his career and became assistant coach at VfL Eintracht Hagen. Since November 2018 he has also been training the second team from VfL Eintracht Hagen.

For the Czech national team , Pavel Prokopec played seven international matches in which he scored five goals.
