Pavol Hrušovský

Pavol Hrušovský (born June 9, 1952 in Veľká Maňa , Okres Nové Zámky ) is a Slovak politician and former chairman of the Slovak parliament.

Life

From October 21, 2000 to September 2009, he was chairman of the Christian Democratic Movement ; today he is chairman of the KDH parliamentary club. From 2002 to 2006 he was chairman of the Slovak parliament , from summer 2010 to October 13, 2011 its deputy chairman. In October 2011 he was re-elected to this post. and stayed there until the end of the Radičová government .

He was a joint candidate of the parties KDH, Most-Híd and SDKÚ-DS in the 2014 presidential election , but was eliminated in the first round with a share of 3.33 percent of the vote.
