The Pedeli ( Estonian ) or Pedele ( Latvian ) is a 31 km long river in Estonia and Latvia .
The historical German name of the river is Peddel.
15 kilometers (3 upper and 12 km lower reaches) flow in the Valga district on Estonian territory, 16 kilometers on Latvian territory (middle course).
The catchment area covers 229 km².
The Pedeli / Pedele has its source in the lake Kadastiku järv, about five kilometers south of the Estonian village Koorküla in a forest area. It flows into the river Väike Emajõgi (German Little Embach ) ten kilometers from Valga . The Pedeli is the largest left tributary of the Kleiner Embach.
Larger tributaries are the Riisupi oja, Rautina oja and Männiku oja streams .
