Pedro Barrajón

Pedro Barrajón LC (born December 4, 1957 in Valdepeñas , Ciudad Real Province , Spain ) is a Catholic religious priest . He was Rector of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum in Rome from 1997 to 2013 and has been Rector of the Università Europea di Roma since 2018 .

Life

Pedro Barrajón studied theology and philosophy and was at the Pontifical Gregorian University with a thesis on the Collationes in Hexaemeron (calls over the six days' work) of Bonaventura doctorate . In 1988 he joined the order of the Legionaries of Christ .

He has been Professor of Theological Anthropology at the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum (UPRA) since 1992 . Since 2001 he has also been Professor of Theology at the Faculty of Bioethics . From 1997 to 2013 he was rector of the UPRA. In addition to his offices, he is committed to youth and student work and was a co-founder of the International Pontifical College Maria Mater Ecclesiae .

Father Barrajón leads a course for budding exorcists at the Athenaeum . The course “Exorcism and Prayers for Liberation” deals with the various aspects of the phenomenon of so-called possession .

On February 14, 2011, Pedro Barrajón LC, was appointed corresponding member of the Pontifical Theological Academy .
