Pedro Luís Guido Scarpa

Pedro Luís Guido Scarpa OFMCap (born February 7, 1925 in Venice , Italy ; † October 20, 2018 in Luanda , Angola ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Ndalatando .

Life

Pedro Luís Guido Scarpa joined the religious order of the Capuchins and was ordained a priest on March 26, 1950 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him titular bishop of Cursola and auxiliary bishop in Luanda on July 22, 1983 . The Archbishop of Luanda, Eduardo André Muaca , donated him episcopal ordination on October 16 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Fortunato Baldelli , Apostolic Delegate in Angola, and José Francisco Moreira dos Santos OFMCap, Bishop of Uije .

On March 26, 1990, he was appointed Bishop of Ndalatando by John Paul II .

On July 23, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
