Embarrassing ( Scottish Gaelic : Peighinn an Lighiche ) is a hamlet on the Isle of Skye, Scotland .
The small town is located in the northern part of the Isle of Skye on the north side of the Glen Hinnisdal river valley , between the hamlets of Balmeanach and Glenhinnisdal. From the A87 at the beginning of the river valley, a single-lane spur road leads east through the valley, which reaches Peinlich after 1.3 miles .
The Scottish Gaelic name means Doctor's Pennyland, Pennyland being an ancient Scottish square measure .
