Penelope Horner

Penelope Horner (born June 20, 1939 in London ) is a British former film and television actress .

Life

Penelope Horner began her acting career in 1956 in the British comedy A Touch of the Sun . She had other uncredited supporting roles between 1957 and 1959 in the films Conditions as in Paradise , A King in New York and Story of a Nun . In 1961 she played Anne Rider in the English version of the novel The Daffodil Mystery by Edgar Wallace , which was made at the same time as the German film The Secret of the Yellow Daffodils . From the beginning of the 1960s, she increasingly appeared in British television productions and later appeared in episodes of the crime series Simon Templar , Mit Schirm, Charme und Melone and Die 2, which are also known in Germany . Her male film partners included Eddie Byrne , Michael Denison and Roger Moore . In 1973 she played Mina Murray at the side of Jack Palance in the adaptation of the novel Dracula , directed by Dan Curtis . Three years later followed a small role in the series kick-off for the British-German science fiction co-production The Girls from Space . In the 1980s she was Sarah Hallam in the second and third seasons of the soap opera Triangle . After several episodes in the sitcom Hell's Bells , she retired from the film business in 1986.
