Peppenhoven Castle

It is one of the oldest houses in Germany, Pippins Hof. Peppenhoven owns a moated castle in a rural area , on which some new houses have been built. The castle is inhabited by the family of Baron Maximilian von Böselager .

The Counts of Werl rebuilt the main house in 1697, a two-story brick building with a two-story gate on the west side. According to the iron anchors attached there, the farm buildings date from 1725 and 1828. The free-standing brick chapel was built in 1880. Later owners of the castle were the barons of Martial .
