Perfect Human (Originally Life Like ) is an American science fiction drama film directed by Josh Janowicz .
action
After the death of James' father, the young couple James and Sophie move into his former villa. Sophie cannot get used to the idea of being served by the long-established staff, and she dismisses the domestic staff without further ado. After it turns out she is overwhelmed with the housework, James persuades his wife to meet up with Julian, who offers ultra-modern, lifelike androids. They decide to buy the male robot "Henry" as a housekeeper.
Henry's stay at James and Sophie's house is different than expected. Sophie in particular finds it difficult to see Henry as a machine and develops a very personal relationship with him that leads to erotic fantasies. James criticizes her for this attitude and develops jealousy, while at the same time falling into erotic dreams with Henry that seem so real to him that he doubts whether they were really dreams.
Meanwhile, Julian is convicted of fraud: His androids are not machines, but real people who were raised by him. The FBI comes to James and Sophie's house to arrest Julian. Julian dies during this confrontation. Henry feels betrayed by his maker and believes that he has betrayed his owner and therefore takes his own life. James and Sophie helplessly mourn his death.
Five years later, the young couple calls their firstborn son "Henry".

reception
There are hardly any published professional reviews of the film. The audience reviews in the streaming and dealer portals are very polarized. "The Queer Review" doesn't leave the film good:
" Life Like is what you get when you take a sexy, sci-fi, erotic thriller and remove the thrills and most of the sex and dumb down the sci-fi. What plods along for most of the 90min running time is a muted exploration of humanity before it completely loses the plot with an utterly ridiculous twist ending. "
“ Perfect Human is what you get when you take a sexy science fiction erotic thriller and remove the thrill and most of the sex and let the science fiction go stupid. What drags on for most of the 90-minute running time is a subdued exploration of humanity before the plot is completely lost with a completely ridiculous turning point. "
