Persberg is a former mining community and a small place ( Tatort ) in the municipality of Filipstad in the province of Värmland County in Sweden .
The place is about 6 kilometers northeast of Filipstad on Lake Yngen . The Riksväg 26 and 63 and the Inland Railway through the village. Iron ore was mined in Persberg for a long time, but the mine closed in the 1970s.
