Persona is a 2019 South Korean episode film with IU in the lead role. In four short films by directors Yim Pil-sung and Kim Jong-kwan as well as directors Lee Kyoung-mi and Jeon Go-woon , four different personalities are explored. Netflix secured the worldwide distribution rights and originally intended to make the film available for download on April 5, 2019. Due to the forest fire in Gangwon Province , the publication was postponed to April 11th.

Game, Set and Match ( 러브 세트 Love Set ) by Lee Kyoung-mi
IU watches her father and his girlfriend play tennis when a friend of hers comes over. IU wants him to seduce Doona so that she doesn't marry her father. Doona challenges IU. If she won, IU would let go of her father and Doona would marry her father. But if IU wins, Doona disappears and marries IU's boyfriend instead. Although IU gives everything, she is inferior in the match. In the end, she says she can't accept that. Doona finally says she won't marry her father.
Collector ( 썩지 않게 아주 오래 Sseokji Anke Aju Orae ) by Yim Pil-sung
After a while, Jeong-u meets his girlfriend Eun again, who has suddenly gone away. He left his previous girlfriend for her. She says she spent a lot of time surfing with friends. She also gives him a present that he should only open when she leaves. Jeong-u looks hurt because he can't understand why she didn't tell him about it. She also keeps checking her cell phone when he talks to her. During their conversation, she suddenly goes outside and kisses another man. Jeong-u confronts her and asks her if she really sees him as her friend. She replies that one could say that. But she was under no obligation to him and could do what she wanted. She also listened to him even though she already knew all the stories. She is looking for a man who would tear his heart out for her. Jeong-u does so at once. Eun puts the heart in a container and leaves. More hearts can be seen in her pocket. Jeong-u opens the present and sees a small version of himself in it going to sleep.
Is kissing a crime? ( 키스 가 죄 Kiseu-ga joe ) by Jeon Go-woon
Han-na visits her friend Hye-bok. But her father tells her that she is with her uncle. But Han-na doesn't believe him, waits until her father leaves the house and can find Hye-bok. She tells him that she kissed a stranger on the beach last night, which left hickey marks . Her father cut her hair short when he saw the hickey. Han-na suggests a plan of revenge on Hye-bok's father. You are preparing some traps around the house, such as smearing soap on the bathroom floor. But Hye-bok's father can unconsciously avoid the traps and does not fall. The next attempt is also unsuccessful. In the evening, disappointed, they go outside to smoke. It's the first time for Hye-bok. When a car suddenly arrives, Han-na hides while Hye-bok throws away her cigarette. The driver just got lost. When he is gone, the two girls notice that the cigarette has caused a small fire in the chicken coop. You can put out the fire with earth. The two girls then decide to go to the beach together. While the camera pans out, Han-na and Hye-bok can be seen on their way to the beach with a bike, while the house is on fire and slowly turns into the forest.
Evening walk ( 밤 을 걷다 Bameul Geotda ) by Kim Jong-kwan
A man and a woman are walking together one evening. She speaks of her sister's death. When he asks her why she was telling something so scary, she replies that she died too and asks if he forgot. This makes him remember again. The couple was separated by her death, but she wanted to see him and so visits him in his dream. You reminisce. When he asks her why she died, she says she felt lonely. There were people she knew well, like him. But the people she knew differently than she was made her feel lonely. At the end they both hug.

Persona is the first film project from Mystic Entertainment , a South Korean agency for musicians and actors. The founder Yoon Jongshin took over the planning.
In August 2019 it was announced that a continuation is planned.
