Petar Todorov Gudew (also written Petar Todorov Gudev , Bulgarian Петър Тодоров Гудев ) (born July 13, 1862 or 1863 in Gradets ( Sliven Oblast ), † May 8, 1932 in Sofia ) was a Bulgarian politician and prime minister .

biography

Gudew studied law in Paris and Brussels . After completing his studies and returning to Bulgaria, he first worked in the Ministry of Justice and then in 1893 in the Ministry of Public Education.

He began his own political career in 1896 when he was elected member of the National Assembly , of which he was a member until 1908. On October 17, 1905, he was elected President of the National Assembly.

Subsequently, on March 16, 1907, Prince Ferdinand I appointed him Prime Minister as successor to Dimitar Stantschow . In his cabinet, which was in office until January 29, 1908, he also assumed the office of Minister of the Interior. After Aleksandar Malinov was appointed as his successor as prime minister, he withdrew completely from political life.
