Pete Dwojak , actually Piotr Dwojak , (born March 18, 1982 in Berlin ) is a German television producer , presenter , actor and musician . His parents come from Poland , he speaks German and English as well as Polish.

life and career

Pete Dwojak sang in the boys' choir of St. Hedwig's Cathedral from the age of six . After the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, the choir split up and Pete Dwojak joined the Berlin Boys Choir under the direction of Karl Ludwig Hecht. He has appeared as a soloist in “The Magic Flute” and “Carmina Burana” , among others, and has appeared at the Deutsche Oper Berlin, the Komische Oper and the Brandenburgische Oper. In addition, from 1993 to 1996 he was a soloist in numerous performances by the choir at the Berlin Philharmonic (“Christmas Oratorio” / “Matthäus Passion”). He is still associated with the boys' choir today.

From 2000 to 2003 Pete Dwojak performed more than 300 appearances in Germany with the boy group A24 . a. in the television programs "Viva Interaktiv" and Bärbel Schäfer and appeared at the New Year's Eve gala at the Brandenburg Gate in front of more than 100,000 spectators. In 2003 the group was in the charts with the title "Engel in der Nacht".

From January 2005, he was part of the main cast of the RTL series Gute Zeiten, Bad Zeiten . There he played the role of Henrik Beck until January 2009.

From January 2009 to March 2013 he moderated the children's show Tigerenten Club and the knowledge magazine Tigerenten Club Xtra weekly on ARD and KiKA .

In 2010 Pete Dwojak moderated "The great football field duel" for KiKA. With this show he was nominated for the German children's media award Goldener Spatz in 2011 .

Since June 2011 he has hosted the casting show My Name Is on RTL II together with Nadine Vasta . In this context he also had a moderation appearance on RTL II on " Big Brother ".

Since February 2011 he has been moderating various Pokémon events together with Oli.P (Pokémon Party February 2011 in Hamburg, Pokémon Day 2011 Tour Final October 2011 in Movie Park Germany, Bottrop). At the Pokémon Day Tour 2012 from August 2012, he and Oli Petszokat presented the stage program at four of the ten tour stops, as well as the Pokémon Day Tour 2013.

On March 10, 2013 he said goodbye to the Tigerenten Club after four years and celebrated his last show with Muschda Sherzada and guest Oliver Pocher . His successor was Lukas Nimscheck .

In 2014 he produced the prime time show "Die Hohlbeins - Eine totally fantastische Familie" for RTL2. In 6 episodes, the most successful German fantasy author Wolfgang Hohlbein was filmed together with his family while writing the latest bestseller.

In 2015 he produced the prime time format "LändleDeluxe - The secret of success" for SWR . Successful entrepreneurs and their success stories were portrayed in this format, including Gabriela zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn , Kevin Kurányi and Roman Niewodniczansky.

He has a child with his former partner Caroline Beil . The two separated in June 2010.

Dwojak has been a lecturer at SVIT Zurich since 2019, teaching there about new methods in marketing with a focus on moving image production.
