Pete Ploszek

Peter Daniel "Pete" Ploszek (born January 20, 1987 in Hinsdale , Illinois ) is an American actor . He gained fame primarily through the portrayal of the comic figure Leonardo the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , whom he embodied in two real-life films in the series.

life and career

Pete Ploszek is from Hinsdale and attended St. Charles East High School, which he graduated in 2005. From 2009 he attended Princeton University , where he was part of the Princeton Tigers college football team for four years . In 2012 he received a Master of Arts in acting from the USC School of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles .

In the same year he was seen for the first time in front of the camera when he starred in the short film Outage: WME and also received a guest role in the series Parks and Recreation . Appearances in Shameless , Workaholics and Timeless followed. In 2014 he was cast in the role of Leonardo for the reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , which is based on the comics of the same name , which he brought to life via motion capture . In the sequel Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows , from 2016, he also took on the role that Johnny Knoxville gave the voice in the first film.

From 2016 to 2017 he played a supporting role as Garrett Douglas in the series Teen Wolf . After a supporting role in Liberty Crossing , as well as guest appearances in Stitchers , 9-1-1 and Superstore , he took on roles in the Marvel film Captain Marvel and Terminator: Dark Fate in 2019 .

Ploszek has been married to his wife Daniela since 2012.
