Peter Andrew Kwasniewski
Peter Andrew Kwasniewski (born March 22, 1971 in Chicago ) is an American philosopher .
Life
He grew up in New Jersey . He received his first serious musical training at the Delbarton School in Morristown . After a year at Georgetown University located Kwasniewski enrolled as freshmen at Thomas Aquinas College , where he received his 1994 BA received and then at the Catholic University of America with a focus on ancient philosophy and scholasticism of the Middle Ages studied. In 1996 he wrote his master's thesis in philosophy on The Dialectic of Reason and Faith in Descartes ' s Meditationes de prima philosophia and received his doctorate in the same discipline in 2002 with a dissertation on The Ecstasy of Love in Thomas Aquinas .
From 1998 to 2006 he was Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the International Theological Institute and Lecturer in Music at the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Austria . In 2006, he joined the founding team of Wyoming Catholic College , where he served as assistant dean and admissions director, choir director and professor of theology and philosophy. He also taught music and art history .
At the end of the 2017/2018 academic year, Kwasniewski left Wyoming Catholic College. He has accepted the position of Senior Fellow at the St. Paul Center in Steubenville and currently works as an independent writer , editor , publisher and visiting professor who lectures on the traditional liturgy of the Catholic Church . He is a board member and fellow of the Aquinas Institute in Green Bay , which the Opera Omnia of Thomas Aquinas publishes.
