Morristown is a city in Morris County in New Jersey in the United States .
General
According to the 2000 United States Census, the population in the year 2000 was 18,544. The estimate for 2004 is 18,842 inhabitants. Morristown was founded in 1865 and is surrounded by Morris Township. Morristown is the location of the nationally important Morristown Memorial Hospital. In addition, in Morristown (next to Teterboro) is one of New Jersey's two major regional airports.
