Linda Hunt
Linda Hunt (* 2. April 1945 in Morristown , New Jersey as Lydia Susanna Hunter ) is an American actress and Oscar -Preisträgerin.
Life
Linda Hunt studied directing at the Goodman Theater School of Drama in Chicago . The only 1.45 m tall actress made her film debut in 1980 in the musical comedy Popeye - The Sailor with the Hard Blow , in which she appeared alongside Robin Williams . In 1983, she was awarded an Oscar for best supporting actress for portraying male photographer Billy Kwan in Peter Weir's drama A Year in Hell . Hunt is the first and so far only woman to receive an Oscar for portraying a man.
In 1985 she starred in the Western Silverado alongside Kevin Kline , Scott Glenn and Kevin Costner , in 1990 in Kindergarten Cop alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger , and in 1997 in the horror film The Relict alongside Penelope Ann Miller and Tom Sizemore . The scenes with her in the western comedy Maverick - Den Colt on the Belt, An Ace Up Your Sleeve (1994) were not used in the final version of the film. Hunt starred in the 1993 mini-television series Space Rangers . She has been a regular in the television series Navy CIS: LA since 2009.
