Tom Sizemore

Thomas Edward Sizemore Jr. (born November 29, 1961 in Detroit ) is an American actor .

Life

Tom Sizemore was born in Detroit as the first son of attorney Tom Sizemore Sr. and his wife Judith. He studied at Wayne State University Detroit and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts . He then studied at Temple University in Philadelphia , where he graduated with a master's degree. He began as an actor on provincial and off-Broadway theaters, including in Horton Foote's The Land of the Astronauts at the New York Ensemble Studio Theater and in 1984 at the Kennedy Center in Washington .

In 1989 he began his career as a film actor and played in his first films, where he acted in supporting or larger roles alongside well-known stars such as Sylvester Stallone , Tom Cruise , Ralph Fiennes and Kevin Costner . In 1997 he took on one of the leading roles in the horror thriller The Relic . In the following years he was in many big blockbusters (mostly in war films ) such as Steven Spielberg 's Saving Private Ryan (1998), Michael Bay's Pearl Harbor (2001) and Ridley Scott's Black Hawk Down (2002). His subsequent films such as Ticker (2002) or Paparazzi (2004), however, were flops.

In 2003 he was found guilty by a court of beating and threatening his ex-girlfriend Heidi Fleiss and was given a six-month suspended sentence. Further arrests and sentences followed for possession of illegal drugs and violations of probation requirements.

Sizemore was sentenced to 16 months in prison on June 25, 2007 for drug possession. He participated in the 3rd season of the reality TV show Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew participated and was escorted during a drug rehab.

On July 20, 2016, he was arrested in Los Angeles on charges of domestic violence .
