Peter Anheuser
Peter Anheuser (born March 23, 1938 in Bad Kreuznach ; † October 27, 2016 ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and winemaker .
Life and work
Anhäuser passed his Abitur at the natural science high school in Bad Kreuznach in 1958, studied mathematics and physics for four semesters at the Philipps University in Marburg , did a commercial apprenticeship, passed the winegrower's assistant examination and, after studying at the Geisenheim University of Applied Sciences, became an engineer for viticulture in 1967 . From 1969 he ran the family- owned Anheuser winery in Bad Kreuznach. Anheuser was married and has two children.
politics
Anheuser joined the CDU in 1978. In 1984 he became a member of the Bad Kreuznach city council , in which he was elected parliamentary group chairman a year later. From 1993 to 2006 he was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament . In the state parliament he was a member of the committee for agriculture, viticulture and forestry. In the 13th and 14th electoral terms he was also a member of the Committee on Economics and Transport. In the 14th electoral term he was the age president of the state parliament. In addition, Anheuser became a member of the district council of the Bad Kreuznach district in 1999, where he was deputy chairman of the CDU parliamentary group.
