Peter Anthony Libasci (born November 9, 1951 in Jackson Heights , Queens , New York ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Manchester .

Life

The Bishop of Rockville Center , John Raymond McGann , ordained him on 1 April 1978 priests .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him on April 3, 2007 Auxiliary Bishop of Rockville Center and Titular Bishop of Satafis . The Bishop of Rockville Center, William Francis Murphy , ordained him episcopal on June 1 of that year ; Co- consecrators were Emil Aloysius Wcela , Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus at Rockville Center, and the Auxiliary Bishops at Rockville Center John Charles Dunne and Paul Henry Walsh . As a motto he chose Arise and walk .

He was named Bishop of Manchester on September 19, 2011, and was installed in office on December 8 of the same year.
