Peter Baumberger

Peter Baumberger (born September 3, 1942 in Winterthur ; entitled to live in Winterthur and Balterswil ; † September 7, 2019 ) was a Swiss politician ( CVP ).

Baumberger's first political office was in the municipal council ( legislature ) of Winterthur from 1974 to 1986 (President 1984/1985). On November 25, 1991 he was elected to the National Council. There he had a seat in the Commission for the Environment, Spatial Planning and Energy and the Commission for Public Buildings , where he presided over the former from 1993 to 1995 and the latter from 1997 to 1999. On December 5, 1999, he resigned from office.

The doctor of law and attorney was married and the father of two children. He was a captain in the Swiss Army .
