Peter Berg (born January 24, 1957 in Walporzheim ) is a German gardening and landscaping designer and specialist book author from Sinzig in Rhineland-Palatinate .

Life

After a preliminary diploma as a civil engineer and a job as a croupier in the Bad Neuenahr casino , Berg trained as a master gardener and state-certified technician in gardening and landscaping from 1986 . In 2000 he founded the company Garten-Landschaft Berg & Co. together with Susanne Förster. Based on the model of Japanese garden art , he realizes projects nationwide and in neighboring countries. Since 1997 he has been working as a garden design consultant in the industry.

Awards

Peter Berg has received the TASPO Award from the Green Sector as the best garden designer of 2011. He also designed two gardens at the 2011 Federal Horticultural Show in Koblenz. His natural stone garden lounge with swimming pond was located at the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress . For his design skills at the Federal Garden Show, Peter Berg was awarded a gold medal by the Federal Association of Horticulture and Landscaping. His natural stone garden lounge was also used at the World Garden Expo Floriade 2012 in Venlo, the Netherlands . In 2014 he was awarded the international trend prize "Building with Green" from the European Landscape Contractors Association (ELCA) for the company garden of the Kreissparkasse Ahrweiler . In 2014, Peter Berg received the TASPO Award for the best garden designer in Germany for the second time. In 2016 he was awarded the "Green Industry Oscar" for the third time.

Sports

In his free time, Berg does cross-country skiing . In the relay race he won the bronze medal at the Senior World Championships in Brusson in 2006 . In 2008, Berg was the first Rhinelander to win the German Seniors 'Cup, and in 2007 Berg had already won silver at the German Seniors' Cup.
