Peter Egger (theologian)

Peter Egger (born February 2, 1948 in Bozen , South Tyrol ) is an Italian Roman Catholic theologian , philosopher , literary scholar and author from South Tyrol.

Life

Egger attended the Jesuit college Stella Matutina and graduated in 1968. He then completed several studies. In 1973 he obtained the laurea (comparable to the German diploma, Magister) in philosophy at the University of Padua , 1976/1977 the Magister in specialist theology and religious education at the University of Innsbruck , 1978 a second laurea in literary studies in Padua. In 1988 he received his doctorate with his dissertation, Fundamentals of the Occidental Secularized Man and the answer of "Gaudium et spes" at the theological faculty of the University of Salzburg .

In 1978 he received the Austrian license to teach religion in secondary schools and in 1991 the Italian license to teach philosophy, history and education. He taught in Innsbruck , Salzburg , Tamsweg , Padua and at the Vinzentinum in Brixen , among others .

He is a lecturer at the Philosophical-Theological University of Heiligenkreuz .

Since 2007 Peter Egger has regularly broadcasts on theological and philosophical topics on Radio Horeb .
