Peter Haberkorn (born May 9, 1604 in Butzbach , Wetterau, † April 5, 1676 in Gießen ) was a Lutheran theologian .

Peter Haberkorn studied theology at the University of Marburg from 1625 and received his master's degree in 1627. He then continued his studies at the universities of Leipzig , Strasbourg and Cologne .

He became a full professor of physics in Marburg in 1632 and, after receiving his doctorate, Dr. theol. 1633 court preacher in Darmstadt. In 1643 he became superintendent of the Diocese of Giessen and in 1650 professor of theology and Hebrew at the University of Giessen .

In 1656, after the death of his father-in-law Justus Feuerborn , he became the first theological professor.

His daughter Katharina was married to the general superintendent Johannes Scheibler .
