Peter Hampe

Peter Hampe (born March 6, 1940 in Dohna ) is a German economist and political scientist .

Life

Hampe completed a degree in economics , political science and public law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich , which he graduated in 1965 with a degree in economics . From 1969 to 1979 Hampe worked as a research assistant at the Geschwister-Scholl-Institute for Political Science at LMU Munich, where he received his doctorate in 1972 . In 1980 Hampe was offered a position at the Academy for Political Education in Tutzing . There he was a lecturer in the field of economic and social policy until 2005 . Hampe has been teaching part-time at the Munich University of Politics since 1977 and at the Technical University of Dresden since 1992 , which appointed him honorary professor in 2000 . Various teaching assignments led Hampe several times to universities in Kiev and Shanghai .

Research activity

In his research, Peter Hampe primarily deals with the subject areas of the welfare state , social market economy , economic and social policy , labor market policy , globalization and European monetary union .

He holds the office of the Bavarian state chairman of the German Association for Political Education and is a member of the board of trustees of the Ifo Institute for Economic Research .
