Peter Harbauer

Peter Harbauer (born July 17, 1938 in Aue ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former member of the Saxon state parliament .

Life

After graduating from high school in Aue in 1956 and completing his military service with the National People's Army , Peter Harbauer studied pedagogy (German, history) in Dresden from 1958 to 1962 , which he completed with the state examination. He then taught between 1962 and 1965 as a specialist teacher at the Polytechnic High School in Beutha . Harbauer also taught at the vocational schools in Aue (1965–1968) and Schneeberg (1968–1990). From 1995 to 2003 he was also a consultant at the Chemnitz High School Authority. He also taught history as a vocational school teacher from 2003 to 2007 at the vocational school center in Oelsnitz . Peter Thornton received his doctorate in 1981 with a thesis to vocational training policy of the Saxon Social Democratic Party in the early years of the Weimar Republic to the Dr. paed. at the Humboldt University in Berlin . He is the father of Michael Harbauer .

politics

In the state elections on October 14, 1990 , Harbauer moved into the first Saxon state parliament via the state list of the SPD Saxony . His constituency was the district 71 (Aue 1). In the state parliament he was active in the committee for federal and European affairs and in the committee for culture and media. At the end of the first electoral term, he left the state parliament.

Other offices

Harbauer was active on a voluntary basis as Vice President of the Association of Former Members of the Saxon State Parliament eV (VeMdL) from 1994 to 2004. After that he was an assessor in the Presidium until 2015. He was also chairman of the school conference of the Schneeberg vocational school (1990). Member of the Presidium of the European Movement Saxony.
