Peter Hla
Peter Hla (born January 15, 1952 in Hwary ) is Bishop of Pekhon .
Life
Peter Hla was ordained a priest on March 8, 1981 . On March 13, 2001, John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Taunggyi and titular bishop of Castellum in Numidia .
He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Thailand , Singapore and Cambodia and the Apostolic Delegate in Myanmar , Laos , Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia , Adriano Bernardini , on December 15 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Matthias U Shwe , Archbishop of Taunggyi , and Abraham Than , Bishop of Kengtung .
Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Pekhon on December 15, 2005 .
