Peter Jacobi (born January 27, 1945 in Coburg ) is a German politician. As a member of the FDP , he was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1978 to 1982 . In addition to his political activities, he is committed to the interests of amateur musicians. He is President of the State Association of Singing and Music-Making in Bavaria and President of the Franconian Singing Association .

After graduating from the Musisches Gymnasium in Coburg, Jacobi studied to become a teacher in Bayreuth . From 1967 on he worked as a teacher in Dörfles-Esbach .

His political career began in 1965 when he joined the FDP Bavaria . Three years later he was elected chairman of the FDP district association Coburg-Land. Finally, in 1972, he was elected to the local council of Dörfles-Esbach and the office of the second mayor of the community. After taking over the chairmanship of the FDP district association of Upper Franconia in 1976, he became a member of the FDP state executive committee in 1977. In the state elections on October 15, 1978 , he was elected to the Bavarian state parliament, to which he belonged until the end of the legislative period in October 1982.

At the same time, Jacobi's commitment was to the interests of singers and musicians. In March 1980 he became the head of the Coburg / Kronach / Lichtenfels singing group in the Franconian Singing Association. He is now president of the amateur music association. In addition, he is President of the State Association of Singing and Music in Bavaria, Vice President of the Bavarian Music Council, is on the supporting bodies of the Bavarian Music Academies, on the Board of Trustees of the Bavarian Music Fund, on the Board of Trustees of the University for Protestant Church Music in Bayreuth, Chairman of the Choir Competition in Bavaria and Deputy Chairman of Europa - Days of Music and Orchestra Competition Bavaria. As a representative of the music organizations, he is a member of the Broadcasting Council of Bavarian Radio .

For his services to the Free State of Bavaria and the Bavarian people, Jacobi was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit on July 5, 2006 by the Bavarian Prime Minister Edmund Stoiber . In the state elections in Bavaria in 2008 , he ran again in the Coburg district , where he received 6.6% of the first votes.
