Peter Jandrisevits

Peter Jandrisevits (born February 22, 1879 in Sulz , † June 8, 1938 in Schandorf ) was an Austrian clergyman and politician. Jandrisevits was a member of the Burgenland Landtag between 1923 and 1927 .

Life

Jandrisevits was born as the son of the teacher Michael Jandrisevits from Sulz. He grew up in a Burgenland-Croatian family and studied theology in Szombathely . He was ordained a priest on June 28, 1903 and was chaplain in Stadtschlaining between 1903 and 1905 and then in Rechnitz until 1906 . Jandrisevits also taught at the girls' community school. Jandrisevits was administrator or pastor of Stinatz between November 12, 1906 and June 15, 1924 , and then pastor in Schandorf from June 15, 1924 until his death .

Jandrisevits was the military vicar in Novi Pazar and Belgrade from 1916 to 1918 and was an archivist appointed by the Federal Chancellery. He published numerous articles in Hungarian, Croatian and German newspapers and wrote a monograph on the market in Rechnitz and a chronicle of the community of Schandorf. He was also the author of the Burgenland's first (unprinted) collection of documents.

Between November 13, 1923 and May 20, 1927, Jandrisevits represented the Christian Social Party in the Burgenland state parliament.
