Peter Klose

Peter Andreas Klose (born July 22, 1953 in Rodewisch ; † June 28, 2014 in Zwickau ) was a German politician. From 2006 to 2009 he was a member of the state parliament of Saxony for the NPD, which was classified as right-wing extremist by the protection of the constitution .

Life

Klose, a trained heavy ceramics specialist, moved up to the Saxon state parliament on December 5, 2006 as the last available candidate on the NPD state list for Matthias Paul , who resigned his mandate because of suspected possession and distribution of child pornography . There Klose was a full member of the Petitions Committee.

Klose had deliberately opened his parliamentary office in Zwickau on May 8, 2007, according to the Zwickau NPD district association, on the day of the liberation from National Socialism . He rented the office space in a house that belonged to the well-known publicist Gertrud Höhler , who therefore got into a political scandal. In December 2008 it was reported that the public prosecutor's office in Zwickau wanted to bring charges against Klose and to request that immunity be lifted , among other things for using symbols of unconstitutional organizations . On June 4, 2010, he was sentenced to a fine of 450 euros by the district court of Zwickau .

Klose was a member of the Zwickau city council from 2009 to 2014, but was unable to perform his mandate for the last two years after a stroke . In 2011 he left the NPD.
