Peter Kohl (entrepreneur)

Peter Kohl (born August 28, 1965 in Ludwigshafen am Rhein ) is a German author and entrepreneur . He is one of the two sons of Hannelore and former Chancellor Helmut Kohl and the younger brother of Walter Kohl .

Life

He attended a Waldorf school in Mannheim and graduated from high school in May 1985 at a Mannheim grammar school. Then he was a contract soldier in the German Armed Forces for two years . From autumn 1987 he studied at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as well as at the Universities of Vienna and Cambridge . In 1998 he founded K&L Partners Limited together with Matthias Ruhland in London . After many years in London , he now works as an independent entrepreneur near Zurich .

Since 2001 he has been married to the Turkish banker Elif Sözen, whom he met during his studies in the USA in Boston and with whom he has a daughter (* 2002). In the year his daughter was born, he and the journalist Dona Kujacinski published a widely received biography at Droemer Knaur about his mother Hannelore Kohl, who had committed suicide the year before .
