Peter Ligendza

Peter Ligendza (* 1943 in Jauer in Silesia ) is a German oboist and conductor .

Life

Peter Ligendza grew up in Naila in Upper Franconia . From 1960 to 1965 he studied at the Bavarian State Conservatory for Music in Würzburg with Kurt Hausmann and at the Hanover University of Music with Kurt Kessler . 1970–1974 followed private conducting studies.

From 1965 to 1969 he was the deputy solo oboist in the opera orchestra of the Saarbrücken City Theater. Afterwards he worked as a freelance oboist a. a. at the Bachwoche Ansbach , the Munich Philharmonic and the Bach orchestras St. Johannis (Würzburg) and St. Michaelis (Hamburg). In 1970/71 he took over the representation of the solo oboist in the orchestra of the Munich Gärtnerplatztheater and in 1977/78 the representation of the solo oboist in the symphony orchestra of the Swedish radio (Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester). As a soloist Ligendza also played with Norrköpings Symphony Orchestra and with the orchestra of the Stockholm Royal Opera (Kungliga Hovkapellet). With him there are radio recordings at the Sender Freies Berlin , Bayerischer Rundfunk , Sveriges Radio and Sveriges Television . With the soprano Catarina Ligendza and musicians of the Berliner Philharmoniker , he recorded the Nine German Arias by Georg Friedrich Handel (DGG 2536380) at the Deutsche Grammophongesellschaft .

Peter Ligendza conducted Trondheim's Symphony Orchestra, the Lower Austrian Tonkünstler Orchestra, the winds of the Stockholm Radio Symphony Orchestra and the symphonic wind orchestra of the Norwegian Army ("Försvarets Musikk") in Trondheim.

1991–1997 Peter Ligendza was the conductor and artistic director of the Swedish orchestra “Jämtlands sinfonietta” and the chamber music association “Östersunds serenadensemble” with whom he toured Sweden, Finland, Germany and Austria. Ligendza has interpretation courses for chamber music, a. a. given at the Conservatory in Trondheim and in Ljusdal , Sweden .

Peter Ligendza is married to the Swedish opera singer Catarina Ligendza and now lives near Nuremberg.
