Peter Morwood

Peter Morwood (born October 20, 1956 in Lisburn , Northern Ireland ) is a Northern Irish fantastic , science fiction and screenwriter who, mainly through his co-authorship of the screenplay for the successful Sat.1 miniseries Die Nibelungen and appeared in two novels from the Star Trek series that were translated into German .

Life

Robert Peter Smyth was born in Lisburn near Belfast and attended school there until 1975. He then took up studies in English , history and law at Belfast Queen's University , from which he graduated in 1979 with a bachelor 's degree. Employed by the customs authorities since 1980, he published the novel The Horse Lord in 1983 under his later officially adopted pseudonym Peter Morwood (his mother's maiden name) , which was followed by other novels in 1984 and 1986. Freelance writer since 1986, Morwood relocated to Los Angeles for a short time. He has been married to science fiction and fantasy writer Diane Duane since 1987 and lives with her in County Wicklow , Republic of Ireland .

This fantastic sequence tells the story of a seemingly medieval empire called Alba, which is shaped by competing warrior clans.
