history

Peter Pan (1964–1973)

The 123 meter long and 4407  GRT ship was built by the Flender shipyard in Lübeck . Commissioned in 1965 under the name Peter Pan , named after the character of the novel of the same name , the naming established the tradition of this ferry line of keeping a ship of the same name in service. Since it was the first ship with this name, it is also referred to as the Peter Pan (I) for internal differentiation .

On March 12, 1964, the Peter Pan was delivered to the p / r MS Peter Pan GmbH & Co Kg and started sailing under the German flag with its home port of Lübeck . On March 18, 1965, the Peter Pan was put into service on the Travemünde - Trelleborg route.

The Peter Pan offered space for 945 passengers and 230 cars. From 1968 to 1969 Gigi and the Night Shadows (with Truck Stop founder Cisco Berndt ) was on-board band.

SF Panther (1973-1975)

In October 1973 the Peter Pan was sold to Southern Ferries Ltd. sold in Southampton , home port became Southampton and she was named SF Panther . From December she was used between Southampton and San Sebastian .

Terje Vigen (1975-1977)

From December 1975 to March 1977, the Oslo-Aarhus Line chartered the ship, renamed it Terje Vigen and launched it under the Norwegian flag with home port Oslo . It was henceforth used between Oslo and Aarhus.

St. Clair (1977-1992)

In March 1977 North of Scotland, Orkney and Shetland Co bought the ship. It was named St. Clair and its home port was Aberdeen. From April 1977 the St Clair was used on the Aberdeen - Lerwick route. In October 1978 the ship went to P&O Ferries Ltd. On February 27, 1992, the ship was withdrawn from the route and laid up in Aberdeen and then in Middlesborough.

Nusa Pejuang (1992-1998)

In June 1992, Perabadanan Nasional Shipping Line Berhad bought the ship and renamed it Nusa Pejuang . Home port was Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia.

In December 1997 the ship was sold to India for demolition. In 1998 the ship was scrapped at RK Engineering in Mumbai.
