Sir Peter Robin Harding , GCB (* 2. Life

After further assignments, he took over as Major General (Air Vice Marshal) on January 7, 1981 from Air Vice Marshal Peter Anthony Latham as Commander (Air Officer Commanding) of No 11 Group RAF and had this command until his replacement by Major General Kenneth Hayr on August 11, 1982. On August 28, 1982, he was a Lieutenant General ( Air Marshal ) succeeds Air Marshal David Craig as Vice Chief of Staff of the Air Force (Vice Chief of the Air Staff) and held this position until its dissolution in 1985. During this time he was on 31 December 1982 to Knight Commander of the Order of the Bath (KCB) and since then has had the suffix "Sir".

Then Harding was 1985 as General (Air Chief Marshal) successor to Admiral Peter Geoffrey Marshall Herbert as Vice Chief of Defense Staff .
