Peter Lawrence Strauss (born February 20, 1947 in Croton-on-Hudson , New York ) is an American actor .

Career

Strauss began acting, inspired by the annual Shakespeare Festival in his hometown, when he was still at school. He is still on stage on Broadway regularly to this day . He became known to German audiences in the 1970s primarily for his role as Rudy Jordache in the television series Reich und Arm . It won an Emmy Award and received five Golden Globe nominations. His work includes more than 80 film and television productions.

family

Strauss has been married to the American actress Rachel Ticotin for the third time since 1998 . He lives in Ojai , California with her, his two sons from his second marriage to the Frenchwoman Nicole Fons and his stepdaughter . He owns a large farm there that commercially harvests 400 tons of citrus fruits per year.
