from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Petra Nettelbeck (born as Petra Krause on December 12, 1939 in Hamburg ; died at the end of June or beginning of July 2017 there ) was a television announcer for the NDR in Hamburg from 1962 to 1967, as well as an actress and publisher.

life and work

Petra Krause was 21 and a bookseller when she jumped out of her one-room apartment on the 4th floor of a Munich apartment building on Adalbertstraße on February 17, 1961 , allegedly out of lovesickness, but probably out of deep depression. She never talked about it. Petra Krause survived forever paralyzed. Sports presenter and cabaret boss ( Lach- und Schießgesellschaft ) Sammy Drechsel gave her courage and brought her to NDR as the successor to his bride Irene Koss . In the first year of her job as a television announcer, no viewer suspected that she was paralyzed.

In 1964 Petra Krause also starred in the feature film Der Damm (directed by Vlado Kristl ).

In February 1964, Petra Krause met the journalist and film critic Uwe Nettelbeck at the Oberhausen film festival . In the same year both married in Hamburg. The second daughter, born in 1966, is the film director and screenwriter Sandra Nettelbeck .

The family initially withdrew from Hamburg to the Heidedorf Luhmühlen . They founded a publishing house and published the magazine Die Republik . After 1990 the couple lived in France.
