Petranka ( Ukrainian Петранка ; Russian Петранка , Polish Petranka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Ivano-Frankivsk with about 3000 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in 1603, is the only place in the 40.996 km² district council of the same name in the north of Roschnjatiw Rajon .
The village is located in the east of the historical Galicia on the banks of the Bereschnytsja ( Бережниця ), a 23 km long tributary of the Limnytsya 13 km southeast of the district center Roschnjatiw and about 50 km west of the Oblast center Ivano-Frankivsk . Territorial road T – 09–01 runs west of the village .
