Petros Hanna Issa Al-Harboli

Petros Hanna Issa Al-Harboli , also Petros Harboli , (born July 1, 1946 from the village of al-Sindi near Zaxo , Kurdistan , Iraq ; † November 3, 2010 in Gaziantep , Turkey ) was Bishop of Zaku of the Chaldean Catholic Church .

Life

Petros Harboli, who came from a who fled eastern Turkey Chaldean family received after the visit of French of Dominicans led Syro-Chaldean Seminary St. Jean in Mosul in 1970 ordination . He was a priest in Zaxo and the Duhok district .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Zaku in 2001 , a Chaldean Catholic diocese unified with the Roman Catholic Church and based in Zaxo , Iraq . He was ordained bishop on February 1, 2002 by the Patriarch of Babylon , Raphael I. Bidawid ; Co- consecrators were André Sana , Archbishop of Kirkuk , and Abdul-Ahad Sana , Bishop of Alqosh .

Petros Harboli was treated at Dahuk Hospital for heart problems and was transferred to the American Hospital (SEV Gaziantep American Hospital) in the border town of Gaziantep , Turkey , on September 16, 2010 , where he died. He was buried in the church of Mar Georgis in Zaxo.
