Petru Enache

Petru Enache (born February 27, 1934 in Bozieni , Neamț district ; † August 17, 1987 ) was a Romanian politician of the Romanian Workers' Party PMR (Partidul Muncitoresc Român) and from 1965 PCR (Partidul Comunist Român) . Between 1963 and 1967 he was First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth Union UTM (Uniunea Tineretului Muncitor) and from 1980 to 1987 Vice-President of the Council of State (Consiliului de Stat) .

Life

Enache attended elementary school from 1940 to 1947 and the metallurgical vocational school between 1949 and 1952. During this time he joined the youth organization of the Workers' Party UTM (Uniunea Tineretului Muncitor) in 1950 and was a functionary of the UTM at the Metallurgical Vocational School between 1950 and 1952. In addition to his professional activities as a lathe operator, he was in 1952 instructor, head of the squad section of the Pioneer School and head of the organization section of the UTM and, since September 1953 instructor of the cadre section of the Central and pioneer schools before he 1953-1954 staff of UTM Committee in Iaşi County was . At the Twelfth Party Congress of the PCR (November 19 to 23, 1979) he was elected a member of the Central Committee, to which he belonged until his death on August 17, 1987.

On April 1, 1980, Enache also became Vice President of the Council of State (Consiliului de Stat) , the collective body that provided the President, and also held this position until his death in 1987. In 1980 he was again a member of the Grand National Assembly, in which he represented constituency no. 3 Iași-Socola until 1985 and then constituency no. 1 Târgu Jiu until his death in 1987 . During this time he was also a member of the Parliament's Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management from April 1, 1980 to 1985. In March 1981 he became a candidate for the Political Executive Committee of the Central Committee of the PCR and was a member of this body until his death in March 1987. At the thirteenth party conference of the PCR (November 19-22, 1984) he also became a member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the PCR and was a member of this body until his death on August 17, 1987.
