Petruschyn ( Ukrainian Петрушин ; Russian Петрушин Petruschin [p'jetruschyn]) is a village in the Ukrainian Oblast Chernihiv with about 700 inhabitants (2001).

The village, first mentioned in writing in 1623, is the only place of the 48.098 km² district council of the same name in the north of Chernihiv Rajon .

Petruschyn is located along the 26 km long Samhlaj , a right tributary of the Desna , 25 km north of Rajon- and Oblastzentrum Chernihiv .

Personalities

The Ukrainian writer and journalist Volodymyr Drosd was born in the village in 1939 .
